The challenge
An agrochemicals producer in Montmeló needed to fill several bio-based solvents into IBCs (totes) without ever mixing them, in a small room with little space for pallets.
The solution
An SP2 line built to fit the site: some conveyors run inside the room and some outside, so operators move pallets in and out without entering. A roller conveyor holds three pallets at the infeed and another holds four at the outfeed. Each product has its own dedicated nozzle, so the products are never mixed. The nozzles can feed nitrogen before, during or after filling.
The result
Ten IBCs an hour, with no cross-contamination between products, in a room that could not take a larger line.
