The challenge
A producer of adhesives and greases in Belgium fills many small containers set out in rows on the pallet, such as jerrycans, cans and pails, as well as drums and IBCs. On the standard SP1, reaching each container in a matrix takes extra arm movements.
The solution
SP1 2-Axis (X–Y) Semi-Automatic Filler — Drums, IBCs, Jerrycans, Pails
A special two-axis SP1. On a standard SP1 or SP2 the nozzle moves forward and back and swings left and right; here it moves on two straight axes, X and Y. The nozzle lines up with a row, travels along it filling every container, then steps to the next row. A 3-inch nozzle fills under the bunghole, suited to viscous adhesives and greases.
The result
Faster filling of containers arranged in rows, with the same machine still taking drums and IBCs.
