The challenge
A lactic acid producer for the food and pharmaceutical industries needed to fill 25-litre jerrycans, 200-litre drums and IBCs inside one GMP clean room, with no operator touching the product. Containers could not sit open outside the clean room.
The solution
Complete GMP Filling Project — Jerrycans, Drums & IBCs, Food & Pharma | AiCROV
Robot Filler Drum Filling — Uncap, Fill, Cap, Double Seal, Test & Flush
Automatic Jerrycan Filling Machine EL2-E — 25 L, Food & Pharma GMP Line
Robot Filler for Drums & IBCs — Food & Pharma GMP Line | Single Robot | AiCROV
Two complementary lines share the clean room. On the jerrycan line, a feeding table buffers the empty jerrycans and feeds an EL2-E with four stations: it removes and discards the tamper seal, fills about 90% of the target at high flow, adds the rest slowly to reach ±0.1%, and screws on the cap. A labeller, a palletizing robot (32 jerrycans per pallet, two layers of 16) and a stretch wrapper complete the line.
On the drum and IBC line, a single Robot Filler carries all its tools at once: drum and IBC decapping and capping, plastic-drum sealing and an immersion nozzle that fills from the bottom up. Each drum is decapped, filled, recapped and closed with two seals, one per bunghole, and machine vision checks every seal before the drum is released. IBCs are decapped, filled and recapped. For how AiCROV nozzles are cleaned between products, see nozzle cleaning.
The result
One high-standard GMP area fills three container formats from one engineering project — about 200 jerrycans, 30 drums and 12 IBCs an hour — with every container opened, filled and closed inside the clean room.
