The challenge
A food-ingredient producer needed one line for two very different container families, 10 and 20-litre jerrycans and small PET bottles from 1 to 5 litres, with no operator handling of the product.
The solution
Automatic Multi-Format Canister & PET Filling and Capping Machine EL2-E — Food
An EL2-E in a U-shaped layout. The first station fills about 90% of the target at high speed and the second adds the rest slowly to ±0.1%. The third caps; because the containers are round, the machine holds each one by its base so the cap is screwed to the right torque without the container turning.
The result
About 180 containers an hour in 20 litres, and both container families on the same line.
