What happens to the drum
- Bunghole location. On the LSB the operator turns the drum on rollers. On the EL2-B a centring station rotates the drum until a sensor detects the bunghole, so drums can arrive in any orientation. On the Robot Filler, 3D vision finds it.
- Uncapping and capping. Automatic, with torque control, and the cap goes back on the same drum.
- Sealing, in the capping station.
- Inerting, with a purging station or through the nozzle.
- Filling modes: immersion, for foaming and flammable products, or under bunghole.
Steel or plastic
Every AiCROV drum filler handles both. What changes is the tooling for the bung and the cap. With flammable products in metal drums, the filling is also protected against static and sparks: the drum is earthed, and the oxygen can be displaced with inert gas before the product starts to flow.
Palletizing at the end of the line
The PBE automatic drum palletizer takes the full drums off the filling line and builds the pallet: up to 45 pallets an hour with 4 drums, or 80 with 2, and drums up to 300 kg.

Which AiCROV machine do I need to fill drums?
The choice depends on the desired level of automation:
- For automatic filling: the EL2-B in line, or a robotic system such as the Robot Filler.
- For semi-automatic filling: the LSB, SP1 and SP2.
Can different drum models be processed on the same AiCROV filling line?
Yes. After a format change, the same machine fills other drum types, steel or plastic.
